The Rise of Buntet Pesantren

Buntet Pesantren as one of the oldest pesantren in Java was first established in 1750 by Kyai Muqayim bin Abdul Hadi, known as Mbah Muqayim. He was  the Court Religious Official (mufti) of the Kanoman Sultanate.
